My favorite way of capturing memories as I travel is by keeping a Watercolor
Journal. On the pages of my journal I create tiny ink and watercolor
paintings, write notes about where I am, what is going on around me,
and the people I meet. If I am teaching a painting trip or workshop,
I encourage my students to create Watercolor Journals instead of
trying to capture the place in a larger painting. These little gems
become "Memory Books" treasured by the artist
who create them and their families. Here are a few pages from my Watercolor
